Wedge V-Belts

Wedge V Belts, also called narrow v belts, are produced according to DIN7753 and RMA Engineering Standard IP-22 for compact, high horsepower drives and high shock loading on short centers and small diameters.

Description

The narrow belts have excellent performance for load transfer and force distribution because of greater depth to width ratio. And can transmit up to three times the horsepower of classical V-belts in the same drive space and handle drives from 1 to 1000 horsepower. It is possible to use 3V and 5V section belts in pulleys of SPZ and SPB sections respectively but corollary is not recommended as the top width of the RMA standard pulleys are smaller.

Section 8V is however, larger than SPC. Profile SPC may in some cases be used in grooves intended for the 8V profile with some loss of power rating but the opposite is not recommended. 8V section belts are used in heavy duty drives such as stone crushers.

Raw material is polyester tension cord with chloroprene compound with transverse oriented fiber. We can make to wrapped narrow v belts and cogged narrow v belts.

Section Top Width Thickness Angle
(mm) (mm) (Deg)
SPZ 9.7 8 40
SPA 12.7 10 40
SPB 16.3 13 40
SPC 22 18 40
3V 9.5 8 40
5V 15 13 40
8V 25 23 40

Standard length designation: 5V1000 means 1000/10=100inches outside length. The computational formula is Belt Length/10= Final Outside length in inches.

Advantages:
Oil, Heat resistant and anti-static(meets ISO1813)
Chloroprene compound rubber with polyester tension cord ensures much longer belt life
Less deformation of the belt cross-section when running in machine
Higher horsepower ratings
Better grip under higher shock loads
Temperature range -20 to 110 ℃
